Dr's appointment this afternoon. So will have to post again tonight for sure. Larry and I spent yesterday painting the swingset. We had a good time it was time spent together, and we got a lot done. The big metal swing we brought down from the country. I love it ! and now it is a lovely shade of blue and the swingset frame is a chocolate brown. We also painted the pic nic table frame so we can fix that maybe this weekend. It will be a whole new world when Charlis and Dewey come later this month. I am loving the upgrades. And look forward to doing some more on the patio. Just have to get our ducks lined up here. Maybe Larry will get the boat fixed this year. Well it is the trailer, or maybe we should look for a new one ? Or a newer one. He thinks the wheels on this are obsolete. Or he cannot get tires or something. Anyway it would be nice. Though I really love the canoe. Have not had it out in a while though. We have been taking Mother fishing and just fish off the dock then. Although she went with us in the truck one time. That was fun the three of us in the truck. So we worked all afternoon and my numbers were good had soup and a fold over peanut butter pita for lunch. felt like was going to need a little extra blood sugar before lunch was 84 came in got a bath nad made us a blueberry cobbler... I had been thinking how to do this with less carbs. You can cut out the sugar and use Splenda.. you can also replace the milk with almond milk... Now you could replace the flour with something that had less carbs and or more fiber but I used what we had. Never realized how many carbs and calories there are in flour. 455 calories and 92 carbs in one cup. I like mine with a little crust and plenty of fruit. I figured it all out and divided it by 6 servings and it is about 14 carbs each serving. Which is not bad when you have to have a little something sweet. You can have whipped cream with it that has virtually no carbs. Did not figure the carbs on anything but the blueberries. But you could use anything and I got a can of peaches to try it with as well. I will post the recipe here. Anyway we had green beans and squash and green salad for supper I had one piece of grilled fish and a piece of sausage. and an ear of corn. I know that has a lot of carbs but it is so good and I can pass up canned corn and frozen corn but when it is fresh butter and sugar how can you do that ? So I am going to eat some this is a disease and I will give up something else or work harder walk longer whatever. Blood sugar before dinner was 98 and after it was 101 and that was after the cobbler :) so the corn and the cobbler had not hurt a thing as far as the sugar went. Now as far as loosing weight ? I donno.... we shall see. I doubt that there will be any loss this time but I have been living a more normal life trying to fit this all together. And not being afraid to eat things. When this started I was terrified and would not eat any carbs at all or very few. Remember eating lots of collard greens and pickled eggs and feeling rotten with the meds and all it takes a while to get used to them, and running to the bathroom every few minutes.. If nothing else I got cleaned out. Still drinking more water than anything else but I will have a soda sometimes. Diet of course and I have surely been driving Lynn nuts she has been my touch stone in all of this, she says I am doing very well. The sugar numbers are good just need to work on the weight then I can get off some of the meds. That would be nice.
Well got to find me some things to do... Talk again tonight
