Thursday morning ... Blood sugar was 104 this morning. Busy day yesterday and big storms last night. Went around us here in West Monroe. Not even a little rain which means Il will be out watering the plants this evening. Need to call my friend Ezel and ask her about squash mine are not doing well. She will know what to do to them to make them feel better and produce some veggies. Cleaned at the Lee's yesterday she requested that I come at 9 instead of 8 that way she is up and dressed. Got 2 loads of laundry done here before I went so it worked out. Today I have to clean for a friend of Fran's she is having a shower on Saturday and there are not enough hours in the day to get it all done. So she says, dont know that I have met this lady but Richard called me and asked if I would do this. Bless his heart he keeps me working. I have his house next week. And I see the doctor on Tuesday afternoon. Went and got the bloodwork done may have already said that. Sorry I repeat myself.. Must get that from my Mother. Sitting here drinking coffee listening to the John Brown woodpecker out in the back yard. He is just tapping away and every so often he will be here picking at the flashing on the eaves. Sounds like someone knocking on the door and drives Alex nuts ! Did not take blood sugar much yesterday 103 in the morning 108 2 hours after supper, and 96 before I went to bed. Then I had a couple of those Dove dark chocolates. And a handful of peanuts. We had a spinach salad for supper and a turkey sandwich no one wanted to cook or clean up let alone eat it was hot here. Larry and I have been walking after supper all this week. Taking Chewie tonight he cried last night, Alex got to go and he did not. That breaks my heart. Poor little baby. Went to the health food store yesterday afternoon got an avacado wrap that what I had for lunch avacado and spring mix lettuce wrapped up in a whole grain tortilla. NICE ! and it had a little salsa for a dip. Got some more African Mango you know if I took it right I may have better results. Your supposed to take it before a meal.. DUH I been taking it when ever thinking as long as I took it that was fine. Talked to Angie about Quinoa which is a grain from Brazil it is a complete protien.. Very low glycemic and you can make a salad with it or serve it hot. You cook it like rice and its sort of a carb substitute. So that is something we may try and serve when Charlis and Dewey are here next. She said a little goes a long way and I am willing to try anything in salad. Ha ha You can replace pasta with it and make a nice summer veggie salad with it. I will post some recipes and write us a review.
Got to run for now. Still need to write to my brother. Slacking on that ... Have a couple of things to tidy before I get out the door this morning. Might write later who knows...
