4/8/11 Saturday morning

I know I know day late and a dollar short story of my life. Busy day yesterday. Blood sugar was 98 to start out almost 8 a.m. yeah we slept in weekends are like that everything is off.So I had one of those Kashi waffles blueberry with some peanut butter. And a handful of grapes. Grapes are pretty high in natural sugar and you have to be careful with those.  You can have about 10 grapes which is just enough to make you mad. Ha ha but strawberries you can have a cup and a half. So they are a better choice. Went out and mowed at Frans this morning. Richard shows up and wants his done as well. the pay was good so we went on and did it. Blood sugar when we finished Frans yard was 87 so I had a little bag of peanuts, and a square of chocolate.Went on and did Richards did not take long and I was holding up pretty good.  Then we went to the health food store. When you walk in there it is awesome the smell of all the herbs its hard to describe its sort of a green smell not unlike fresh mowed grass or fresh hay. They have a small lunch counter and a bakery yeah it is cool ! So we got some lunch I had a spinach salad with red onion and feta cheese, topped with red wine vinegar OMG it was very good. And Larry had a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread they had baked it there. It had some baby lettuce the spring mix that he loves and very little mayo... It was very tasty too we sort of shared I had a couple of bites of his and he had a couple of bites of mine. We got some dark chocolate Omega truffles one of the cashiers shared one. So we had to get some of those they are delicious and healthy full of Omega fatty acids. And dark chocolate... MMMmmmm Got some of those tofu noodles shiritaki going to try those they might be good. Course I really enjoyed the spaghetti squash, and think there is no reason that angel hair cole slaw would not make a reasonable substitute for pasta.  We came home and I mowed mothers front yard.. Yeah I know lots of mowing today. Larry worked on the car, Blood sugar at 6 p.m. was 78 So I figured I could eat about anything. We had a big splurge and went out to eat crab legs. Larry and his mom LOVE crablegs. I like them but they are hard to peel just give me some good spicy shrimp. Any way I ate everything. I had 3 pieces of sushi I know that had carbs, with the rice and all and about 1/2 cup of coconut shrimp. could not resist those. The happy family is awesome no real carbs there plenty of good veggies. And there was some shrimp that had spices and curry it was fried I think. it was really good. Needless to say I did not test my sugar last night. Nor did I need a snack before bed. We ate late though and it was 8 before I got the meds.  So I dreaded to see what it would be this morning 118 was not bad at all . Not considering.... Anyway I am sitting here drinking coffee and had another of those Omega truffles.... OMG they are decadent! So I will sign out for now and see what we can get into today.. Back on later
